We were not very successful when we tried to get manufacturers to allow conversion from one platform to another but perhaps since Slicer can deal with just intensity images, the underlying data format can now be simplified so all instruments could provide an option to export the stack of volume slices so we could all use these open source tools. ![]() It would be nice if instrument manufacturers could at least help users with the software to export to Slicer (which is an Open Source software). I see great potential for using these tools to get details for fracture-mechanics-based acceptance criteria using the ability to get dimensions of proximity in 3D. Your ability to find methods of speeding up the processing that is required to get the data into Slicer was very informative.
